Peggy Baze is an artist inspired by the joy and fulfillment she feels when helping others. After 30 years working in the commercial real estate and development industry, Peggy picked up a paint brush for the very first time in 2013 and opened the doors to an entirely new world. She began creating beautiful artwork which inspired her to take her new passion to a new level and combine it with her desire to give back to the community and to those in need.
In 2014, Peggy retired from commercial real estate to further her passion and create Artful Giving, an Arizona non-profit corporation which uses art for the greater good. Through Artful Giving she has dedicated thousands of hours using her time and talent for charities including notMYkid, UMOM, First Place AZ, Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, Comfycozy's for Chemo, Boys Hope Girls Hope, the State of Arizona, Assistance League PHX, and many more.
Artful Giving's first initiative involved creating notecards from Peggy's original paintings with the proceeds benefiting UMOM and now also benefiting notMYkid and Assistance League PHX. Artful Giving partners with many charities in the valley, creating special works of art exclusively for their charity with 100% of all proceeds going directly to their respective cause.
Peggy also serves on the Addiction Awareness committee for the State of Arizona and her painting, Now You See Me, is the mascot for the statewide campaign. Her original painting resides at the Arizona State Capitol in the Governor's Office for Youth, Faith and Family.
